. The ACC prepares for battle as the Miami (FL) Hurricane and the Duke Blue Devils face off at 1230 p.m. Saturday ET at Brooks Field at Wallace Wade Stadium. Miami (FL) will run in the palm of the hand when Duke stumbles from defeat.
The Hurricanes scored 38-26 palms over the Virginia Tech Hawks last week. Miami (FL) QB Tyler Van Dyke did his job and passed three TDs and 357 yards in 33 attempts. Near the top of the highlight roll was Van Dyke's 75-yard TD Lemon with WR Brashard Smith in the alternate quarter.
Meanwhile, last Thursday night had a rough start for Duke, and it ended that way too. They took a serious hit against the Louisville Cardinals, falling 62-22. Half Duke was in a tough position, previously sitting at 35-9. A gray feeling for them was the play by Kubi Riley Leonard, who ran a TD and 70 yards as well as accumulated 99 passing yards. Leonard didn’t help his platoon too much against Virginia Tech two weeks ago, so it was a nice contrast for him.
The Hurricanes scratched and clawed all season, and now they deserve the Coliseum after a bad rain palm against Virginia Tech. Game after game has been tough.
It should be nothing more than an opportunity to present some of Duke's big figures.
